Neil Simon's "The Dinner Party" Opens our 15th Season
A new offering by America's most prolific playwright opens on September 4 and runs for 11 performances over 3 weekends. Performances will be at 8 PM on September 4, 5, 11,12, 13, 17 and 18 and at 3 PM on September 6, 11, 12 and 19. The Dinner Party is a serious comedy from the master of American comedy. Six people are individually invited to dinner in a fancy French restaurant by a mutual friend. They do not know who the other guests will be, or even why they have been invited. Turns out that each of the three couples are divorced (one couple twice), and the person who invited them (who never appears) thinks they should have a chance at reconciliation. Directed by Charles W. Maloney, the cast features Heather Tuckfield, Heidi Toll, Joanne Bauer, Dave O’Brien, Jerry Khatcheressian and Steven Rosenthal. Come enjoy an evening of Simon's wit and some thought provoking serious moments.

Don and Loretta Smith Retire
It is with great sorrow that we let you know that Mr. Donald K. Smith has announced that "Man of La Mancha" was his last show. Mr. Don and his wife Loretta have been with us since our 2nd season. Their perfectionism and great skills have helped mold 2nd Star from very near the beginning. Their expertise will be missed both in the musical productions and in the business of running the house. Should they get bored, the 2nd Star door is always open, but in the meantime, Enjoy your extra time, Don and Loretta, knowing that you are loved and appreciated. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!
